You like the fight and taste of a smallmouth? Steve McLarty pulled an 8+ pounder out of here back in march. 3rd state record in 4 years!(psst . . . the spoonbills are hitting below the dam, but keep it to yourself!) The area surrounding the 600 mile shoreline of this 120,000 acre Lake is breathtaking, quiet, and home to a wide variety of wildlife and fowl. And you can shoot them all! (Great nature photo opportunities are everywhere.) And lucky for you, we also have CABINS! LUXURY CABINS, which include full kitchens, cable TV, DVD players, DSL connections, laundry facilties, pots, pans, tableware, big screen TV's, decks, patio furniture, fireplaces/wood burning stoves, appliances, bedding, boat docks, and for some, even boats. And when you're not having fun on the beach with the kids, enjoying a private deck view with someone special, or casting with the compadres, there are activities galore. there's horseback riding, hiking trails, camping, and of course, boating (recreation boats, fishing boats, and canoes). The parks of Arrowhead (12 mi. south) and fountainhead (6 mi. north) host challenging public golf courses.
